Making Progress

I'm so excited to say that I've had some progress, but not as much as I'd hope to see this time. I've lost 5lbs and 8 inches all over. It seems like I'm working harder this time but not having the results I'd hoped for. I've been told to look at the inches lost and not so much the weight....soooo with that being said, I'm happy with the 8 inches. I also started back up at the gym. I have to get my cardio in. I've gained some running partners, so next week I will start running with this group at 5am Mon, Wed, Fri. OMG! What am I thinking???? I hope I make it through this....LOL

Time for a change

I started the Slim in 6 DVD's 4 weeks ago. I think I am done. Doing the same thing everyday for 50+ minutes is not for me. I am determined to keep working out though. I am afraid if I continue trying to finish these last two weeks of the Slim in 6 I'll quit and not do anything. This is my plan...

Running/Speed walking at least 3 times a week(building up from 30 -45 mins). On the days I don't I will use the Ramp It up (from the Slim in 6 set) and Walk slim DVD's. That way it is changed up. In addition I will use the Abs and Slim and Limber sections of the Slim in 6 set everyday. This is my goal. I think this would work a ton better then forcing myself to complete thier Burn It Up DVD for 58 minutes a day.

Progress...

Okay so I have made it to my final weeks into the Slim in 6 program. I must say I am dying (or close to it) but since I am almost done I think I can continue on. LOL
(Last day is July 18th)

I checked a couple measurements this morning. Didn't mark them down but wanted to see if there have been ANY changes since my wk 2 measurements. I am happy to say that I have lost an average of 1 inch all over so far. (Some places more then 1 inch) I guess thats progress. Not as much as I'd like but it's something. (Also lost close to 6lbs...)

I also join a weight loss challenge and now I have other depending on me to keep this up.

Once I finish the Slim in 6 DVD's I think I will start running. It might be less tasking on my body. Funny you'd think running would be harder. LOL That or I'll be one of "those' people speed walking (said to be as effective but easier on your knees). Sounds like a plan to me.

MIA

Sorry I have been MIA. Never fear though I have been working out. I am starting to get the hang of this Slim in 6 program. Course this is until I have to move up to the next level. LOL Hope everyone is having a great workout.

Pop n lock

I don't think they meant that to mean when your elbows and knee's pop everytime you do a move during your excercise program. Call it a hunch.

Doing well here - managed to work out everynight this week. Now just have to do it tomorrow then I get a day off. WAHOO!

Accountability...

I need some BIG time. If you are here and reading this then I need YOU to comment. I almost didn't work out tonight. This is how it always is. I am motivated and doing it but then I am just like oh one night won't kill me. YES it will. It won't work if I skip it. Someone needs to make sure I am staying on track. I have no self control. It's been busy around here. Chef is working long hours so I'm doing more in the evenings and by the time the work out rolls around I do not want to do it.

No worries though. I did do it tonight but I didn't start until 9pm. sigh I need to get it done earlier. Cause now it's after 10pm and I'm too pooped to go upstairs too bed.

My Meal Rundown for a Day

Ok my hubby works out and eats right and all that yada yada yada. So he gives me ideas for a healthy meal plan without taking away everything I like to eat. He says six meals a day ...yeah ok.. "It speeds up your metabolism", he says. He also says "don't let yourself get hungry, then you over eat"! Plus you burn more fat this way...OK. I need to listen, Right? Here goes:

Breakfast
Wheat Toast or Oatmeal
Grapes or Orange slices
20 oz bottle of water

Snack
Side salad
20 oz bottle of water

Lunch
Tuna or Chicken
Salad w/ croutons
Apple slices or Bananas
Crystal Light

Snack
Yogurt
Granola
Peaches
20 oz bottle of water

Dinner
Grilled Chicken, Tuna or Steak
Brocolli or Aspargus (I have a lot of either...LOL)
Brown rice or Wheat pasta
20 oz bottle of water

Snack
Fruit of some kind or Granola bar
Crystal light


Thats basically what I eat everyday! I'm waiting on the kids to say that they're tired of chicken and tuna! I have to drink bottled water in order to get the 80 oz down. Not sure if its a mind thing or not. I tried filling an 80 oz bottle and I couldn't drink the water. Yeah, I have issues like that.

Did someone hit me with a baseball bat??

Ok does it make sense that your body aches everywhere that there's a part....but at the same time you can feel so full of energy??? Well thats me!!! This workout is seriously kicking my butt. But I feel so full of energy afterwards. Though, I was happy to take a break on Sunday! Then there was Monday...and all over again, I begin to sweat...and sweat....Let's see how tonight goes!

Oh my head

So I started the Ramp it up video today. Lordy I am not cut out for this. Does it really work? Will I thin out even a little? These questions and more answered on the next installment of...

OH wait sorry got distracted. Anyways. Back on topic. I am so not cut out to be a person who works out. How can people do the SAME routine over and over and over daily. YIKES I'm already dreading tomorrow becuase the routine will be the same. LOL I'm awful huh.

Debbie must die

Well not really I'm not like that.

Although why she thought tortering nice fat people was something fun. She is the one who is sadistic not me. She's a big meanie.

I worked out later today. At 8pm instead of noon. I had things going on so I wasn't home around then. Not sure how good working out at 8pm will be for me but we'll see. At least until Grey's and at stuff like that come back on. By then I'll be finished with this evil workout program.

Now it's time for ice cream.

Why me?

Okay seriously. I. AM. DYING. Who's writing the ulogy (thats totally spelt wrong)? Also better make it a BIG coffin cause I ain't doing this no more.

I just finished working out for the day. (yeah shocking right...LOL). My head is foggy and I need a nap. My abs hurt. My arms scream. I have muscles in my thighs I never knew exsisted. (No wonder they've gotten so big).

It's not fair I tell you. Why do some woman (Kate from Jon&Kate plus 8 for example) get to have babies (she had 8 - 6 of them at ONE TIME) and stay skinney while I have a mere 3 kids (individually - thankfully) and I am a house compared to her.

(Yes I KNOW she had a tummy tuck but hello chick was still skinner then me before it)

Think I can grow? Seems if I am this weight at a taller height then I'd be skinny. Which will happen first you think? Growing (at 31 yrs old) or losing wieght? I don't need much just maybe 3 inches (while your at it make Chef grow taller too so I won't be taller then him - just something not right about that.)

Also WHY is it that when I am trying my darnist to workout and eat in smaller portions Chef makes a point of 1. bringing me a Sonic strawberry milkshake and 2. giving me a butt load of yummy food on my dinner plate. Never fails! LOL

Yes I am glutton for punishment - I'll be doing the workout AGAIN tomorrow. Yeah me! This better work.

Okay so one snack that I've come to like is simple.

Quaker Rice cakes and grape jelly. None of that fancy sugar free, nofat jelly (do they make that?). Welches Grape Jelly. LOL It is good. Touches your sweet tooth and is very satisfing when you'er looking for that crunchie snack.

Better late then never

Okay so I DID workout at naptime again. OMG I wanted to cry half way through. How will I EVER make it through the 50min one. So day 3 is finished. I managed to finish it without tears. LOL

I didn't drink as much water as I should of so here's to making sure that today I do. (It's Thursday and I'm posting Wednesday's late sorry)

OK Here I go again!

Ok, I'm also doing the Slim in 6 video. I started back in December and had really good results. I started "working out" again , three weeks ago. I found out Holly was going to do the same program...so what better way to do then with a friend! Even though we're over 7,000 miles away, we have managed to work out a gameplan....SO HERE GOES! Wish us Luck!

EKKKKKKKK

SO excited!!! My friend Sonya is joining me in this blog. So now you'll hear from BOTH of us. Aren't you lucky!!!!

Start It Up

Okay I did the Start It Up routine. It is day 2.

My lord is she trying to kill us. I swear I was ready to stop half way through the 25 mins. How the heck am I suppose to continue on to the Ramp It Up at 50mins. Oh brother.

So far today I've had a slimfast shake, 1 cup of Honey Bunches of Oats with Alomnds, !/2 c of Cantalope, Pulled BBQ pork on a 100% wheat bun, 1 cup of piete baby carrots. Getting ready to have another slimfast shake (cause now i have the muchies after that workout). I'll edit in my dinner and other snacks.

3 (16 oz) glasses of water and one 16oz glass of green tea.

Edited to add: For dinner Chef made some beeftips in brown gravy with egg noodles. For snack I had some of those Quaker Oats rice cakes.

I also had another 4 glasses of water and I'm not done for the day.

I also went swimming while the kids had lessons.

Here it goes.

I figure that I have NO self control what so ever. What a better way to be held accountable then a blog that the whole WORLD can see.

See the thing is...

I'm fat. Not obese, not plump, not fluffy and certain not jolly. I'm just fat.

I'm sick of it. I've tried to do the gym workout thing (boring and stinky not my thing), tried eating sensibly (which basically I do already - not a fan of sweets to include sodas - unless I just HAVE to HAVE that bite of a carbonated drink - you know the one) and tried Weight Watchers (WW).

So WORLD! I have started the Slim in 6 DVD program. Yesterday was my fist day and in a few minutes I will be doing it again. I am back to making sure I eat tiny snacks and small meals throughout the day (see WW DID teach me something...LOL)

So for the next 6 weeks (at least) I will be working out daily for 6 days in a row with one day off (Sunday). Lets see if this will kill me or not. Who will win the program or me. LOL

As a glimpse into hell they have you take photos of yourself. GASP (Sorry I'm not brave enough to share those quite yet....LOL) and measurements. Well folks lets see if what they claim is true and that all changes.
